The Sound Of Science.

Venus Flytraps are here!

With the summer winding down and the Fall fast approaching what better time to find the scariest plant around to use for a  classroom discussion about plants and their adaptations. We are very grateful to Ms. Pavlicek at the Burlington Science Center , who helped the students of 205 receive these odd plants  for their science learning.

Check  out our  observation skills !
                                      Thank you Wendy
We really learned about how carniverous plants survive .

Winter's Tail

Yesterdays class read aloud was the true story about a young dolphin who overcomes adversity and learns to adapt to her disability through human kindness. This story is called Winter's Tail by Juliana Hatkoff.
The Students and I wanted to learn more about Winter and her amazing fight against the odds to survive.
Here is the website at the  Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Florida  where she is currently living. This story has been made into a movie called Dolphin's Tale It will be in theaters later this month.  I hope you have to opportunity to share this uplifting tale with your children .
Enjoy ,
